Steroids Stunt Your Growth?

Im new to the whole steriods thing … and this website has taught me a lot so far … however … I have heard that steriods can stunt your growth … Is this true? If it does, will it just slow your growth or stop it completely?

It can’t stunt your growth if you’re done growing, and I personally don’t see any reason to be on them while you are still growing.

Are their any supplements that won’t stunt your growth but that will help me build muscle mass?

How old are you???

The best one I know of is good clean protein and complex carbs…lots of both.

Iron.

Get it in the form of 45 lbs plates and put a bar between a few of them. Lift repeatedly. Increase iron dose when it gets easy.

If I remember correctly, the main concern is roids causing the growth plates of bones to seal up prematurely… something like that.

I’m not on gear yet, as my growth is still going relatively well without at this time, but if someone asks these questions, shouldn’t we consider the asker not ready for gear?

Yes. Most likely you don’t need any supplements at all. A good diet and training should do the trick. Something like Carbolin 19 might possibly be appropriate. But it won’t do anything if diet and training’s not in line.

Not only do they stunt your growth… but, they also shrink your testicles!

I am young and still growing but I need to bulid more muscle mass for basketball … I am a point gaurd for my high school and I need to be able to drive into the lane and not get pushed around … it would also help me possibly be able to play football and it would help me a great deal in baseball and track … I play lots of sports in case you can’t tell … I have been lifting weights for 3 years now and it has helped me a great deal … but not enough … I have kept getting stronger and stronger but its like now all of the sudden I hit a stopping point … I have been at a certain amount of weight for almost half a year and I just don’t seem to get stronger no matter how much work I put into it … I need to get over the hump … I am also eating well so it is not a bad diet that is prohibiting me from gaining strength … and then I heard about D-BOL and I looked it up and while doing that I found this site … I read the beginner’s things and learned alot of valuble things … So if anyone can tell me of something that will still let me grow but will get me stronger … it would be greatly appreciated …

No, no, no dbol for you. You are a high school point gaurd and you want to use steroids? This is the height of stupidity. “Damn, if only I use gear and become a monster in high school athletics, I’ll be set!” Not a good justification to use gear.

I’m all for people using steroids. I just think you’re in a contradained group for using them. Wait 5 years or a decade and reevaluate.

Try changing your program and eating more food. workout more + eat more = get bigger and stronger, period. It doesn’t take any silver bullet.

I can honestly see why parents are concerned about steriods when about half the posts in the steriod forum are like this one.

Keep off the D-Bol. Eat more. Change your training routine. Maybe take a protein shake. Stay off the roids for about 10 years.

There seems to be a lot of kids asking about D-Bol. Is D-Bol on its own even any good, or do you need to stack it with a bunch of other stuff? Aren’t the tablets really harsh on the liver?

Have any of you heard of the Bigger Faster Stronger Program? Thats what my school uses so I can’t change my workout routine … even though I do run and do other things on my own it hasn’t worked … I’ve tried everything … I don’t want to use roids to get ripped or stacked … I just wan’t to get a little bigger because of my smaller stature … I’m not trying to use them to become a pro athlete or anything … I just wan’t to be bigger and everything I have tried hasn’t worked … I have also tried the protein shakes … I eat real well … I don’t know what to do? Is their anything other than D-BOL that would help me?

Read the Anabolic Diet thread (all 40 pages of it!). Then get eating.

Change your lifting routine, make sure your diet is perfect, and use other supplements before going to steroids.

What supplements should I use? Any suggestions?

Heavy compound movements (Squats, Deadlifts, Bench, Dips, Military Presses, Rows) will have a great impact on your body’s own hormones.

These movements will make your body grow, as long as you provide enough rest and nutrition.

You should make sure your eating good whole foods, plenty of complete proteins, natural carbs (especially veggies), and fats (especially the EFAs).

Once your training and eating is in order, and you’re consistant with quality nutrition and training for at least 6-8 months, then you can consider some supplements to help with your gains.

Use some supplements (legal) to see how they work in your body, and figgure out which ones you want to keep using.

If after eating right, training right, and using supplements correctly for 5 years or so, then you may want to consider steroids, but you may be shocked at how good your body looks and performs without them.

I’ve heard the name, but don’t know anything else about the program, but it’s kind of irrelevant. You can always change something, and it doesn’t take much change. Change your grip on various exercises by just a little bit each time. Maybe do an isometric hold here or there, changing it up session by session. Sometimes go to failure, if you can, sometimes don’t. You can stay within your mandated program and still make small, useful variations that will work over time.

Also, don’t go crazy with extra workouts.

Why don’t you post a daily menu so we can see how much you’re eating. If you’re not getting bigger you’ll have to eat more, there’s no two bits about it. Even if you eat “well” already.

Why don’t you post your meal plan/workout program on this site; so we can critique it, and see where your at for starters.

Drastic measures call for drastic times, and this is definitely not a drastic time.

I will post my meal plan and lifting routine later … I will gather the info and post it as soon as I can … what type of suppliments would I use after the 6-8 weeks of working out on your critiqued diet? I post the information soon … Thanks for the help guys!
