Dont you get 100g carbs on w/o days?

The math i did on the site came out to this:

1306.5 non workout days

1567.8 workout days

Where’s your Surge on workout days?

What brand of protein are you using? I’m asking because one of the points that keeps coming up is how people tend to fail when they substitute their own protein choice instead of Metabolic Drive.

I think you screwed up your carb counts. There is no way you are only at 22g with all of that protein and flax. Hell the 8 scoops of protein alone will have more than 22g, regardless of the brand. I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong, in fact your schedule looks fine, just make sure you are counting everything correctly.

Right now, no im not using Biotest. I had it set in my mind i was starting Monday, and the shipping would have taken too long, i plan on buying Biotest when i run out of what i have now.

22g of carbs looks right, 2g carb per scoop of protein, and 4g with every 2 tbsp. should i find another source for more carbs?

Then no it does not look good. There is a very good reason this diet was designed around Metabolic Drive and it has been covered over and over and over. It still amazes me that people don’t understand what they read. Have fun feeling like shit.

Yeah, I’d get Biotest whey ASAP.

  1. Are you taking HOT-ROX?
  2. In your plan you have flax+whey for your first meal and just whey the second meal. I’d switch that around and have the protein only shake in the morning, and add the fats from the flax to the second meal.

Metabolic Drive is great, but as long as the powder he’s using is a casein-blend I don’t think using a non-Biotest product is going to break the diet.

Ok…I can see the logic behind that, but I am not so sure you can guarantee the quality of ingredients in other products.

Right now i am using MHP Problic-SR, it is a very good protein source, has both whey and casein. If Biotest was sold locally i would have bought it, i decided to do it Saturday night and i knew if i waited longer than Monday i wouldnt have the drive i would, so i had to start asap.

Thanks for the advice Whey man, i will start that tommarow morning. Also should i take flax + fish oil right before bed? or do it the second to last shake of the day? thanks for your help guys

Yes it will. It has been proven countless times that it will. I’ve never heard of anyone successfully completing the diet that used an off brand. The OP jumped the gun because he was afraid he wouldn’t actually do it. That’s a childish reason to use crappy products that are proven not to work.

I have talked to many people at the gym i goto, and they have done this diet not using Biotest products. Not taking anything away from Biotest, but they are not the only brand that uses high end ingredients. Im sure this diet was made for Biotest products because Chris works for Biotest.

I set a date i wanted to start, when i set a goal i complete it, even if it means using “crappy” products. Im using products that people have completed the diet on now. Like i said i am going to order Biotest, but i wanted to start the diet on monday so i did. I did my research and didnt just pick some random brand.

Hey i’m new to this forum and just wanted to know a little about the V-Diet in general. Like is it made for for growing mass or for loosing weight? It seems as if you’re just taking a bunch of high protein meal replacements which to me would make this a weight loss diet that supports muscle growth. Any feed back about this diet would be good. thanx

Up at the top of the tool bar is a SEARCH function.

There are a ton of articles about the VELOCITY DIET.

Why don’t you take a little time to just look it up and read, I am sure all your questions can be answered.

Chris Shugart is the author/creator.

Wait a second here,

This guy is 5’10 and 171, pushing 172. I’m pretty intrigued as to why nobody has asked, “why the hell are you going on a super-fast and intense weight loss diet when you’re not fat?”

I’ve seen a lot of guys at 5’10" 175 that look slightly above skinny.

I have tried conventional diets, 40-40-20, i have gotten personal trainers, and i have been at it for over 8 months and i cannot loose my gut. So i decided to get drastic and try this.

A whole 8 months? That’s a long time man.

To your earlier post- yes Chris works for Biotest. So what? The diet works because the products are the best you can get. If you think you have something comparable that’s fine- good for you, but if you don’t get the results you are after don’t blame the diet.

As to “setting a goal and sticking to it”- again good for you. Most people would set a goal based on attempting to get the best outcome and not wasting their time, not just on trying to get something started as soon as possible. So the argument is pretty lame.

Good luck either way I guess.

well eengrms76, it was not a argument in the least. i never said anything bad about Chris or Biotest, all i did was state that he works for them, he created the diet, therefor he used Biotest and created the diet around Biotest. Never said anything good or bad about that.

My shipment hasnt came in for Biotest yet. and i wanted to get started, whats wrong with that? when my order comes in i plan on switching to Biotest. are you tring to start a argument just for the sake of arguing?

Your post make it out that im anti-Biotest, which i am not. im sure 4 days at the start of the diet not using Biotest will cause a drastic change in the diet results. Well i didnt start this thread to argue with people about opinions on diffrent products to use, ect.

i just wanted to know if my diet looked correct. So you can call me childish, lame whatever you want i guess, as long i get the results im looking for thats all that matters to me.
