Starting Position for Wide Stance Squatting

CT I’ve been wide stance box squatting and up till today I’ve been starting my squat with a normal width stance, stepping back and then widening my stance after… but today I decided to lower the J-cups one position and start the entire lift with the wide stance. Do you think there is an advantage to starting with either one of these positions? I don’t have access to a mono-lift so I will always have to walk it out.

  1. As Jim Wendler says, squats SHOULD BE walked out

  2. Wide stance squats is one of the few exercises that I have no real expertise on since I never really used it or had other people use it.
