HISTORY
Last august was my first bodybuilding show where I placed second in the middleweight division out of 15 at the biggest show in Florida and am currently trying to become a light heavy and I want to cut down and prime my body to grow again and well summer is coming and i want to be shredded again.
Tomorrow is day one and looking forward to it. My peri workout nutrition on training days is as follows
45 min pre W/O 600mg Alpha Lipoic Acid
30 min Pre W/O 30g Waxy Maize + 7g BCAA’s
DURING 21g BCAA’s, 15g Glycine, 15g Glutamine
PWO 60g Waxy Maize 20g BCAA’s
1 hour PWO my 50g blended shake
Gah!!! Why?!? If you want to improve your conditioning compared to last show, why don’t you just start 3-4 weeks earlier (so maybe 15-16 weeks of dieting instead of 12 or whatever). If you placed second then you obviously have some idea of how to diet down properly and now you have experience to draw upon.
I just don’t know why you’d want to destroy your metabolism, hardly eat, and do this while knowing you are able to diet down properly. You’re already lean (“abs and veins”) so just gradually drop the calories.
Is this, as you state, just to instill some discipline?
Discipline! We always start out with four weeks of keto to kill cravings and to be honest I’d rather do it this way plus my metabolism will be fine, that meal won’t be HSM but a cheat and I don’t have time for all the cardio with my 16 week old son.
I have some supps for a kick start and I am starting 18 weeks out this time. I’ll try to get pics.
No the most I’ve weighed recently is 201lbs. I ate a lot of food but it was all clean and used Alpha Lipoic Acid 1200mg with every carb meal. Lots of oatmeal white/brown rice, veggies, healthy fats, peri workout nutrition, high protein.
I started off with baseline numbers and added carbs until I fealt I may be adding fat. I started with 350g pro and 250g carbs and added 50g carbs every 2-3 days to keep the weight moving. On my non training days I dropped the carbs and added healthy fats
Just my 2 cents, but that’s a HUGE drop in calories. I started my diet at 205 lbs, and was able to get down to 190 lbs while still eating about 3000 a day.
Obviously you’re a lot heavier than the middleweight cutoff, but don’t you think you’ll give away too much muscle by forcing things so quickly?
im getting ready for my 14th show this spring brother. good luck to you bro just dont get caught up in this low cal shit on all these forums. try to get that protein up to around 8-9 grams per pound bra!

8-9 grams per pound… So I should be consuming 1800 grams of protein?

im not saying do it now im saying work your way up to it bra. good luck with that let me know how the extra protein works for you[/quote]
You realize you’re percribing someone to go on a cutting diet of over 7000 calories, don’t you?

Also, I hope you realize that a “bra” is something women wear.
