Starting Back Over 40

I am a new member and have never posted on here before, my apologies if I am doing this in the wrong place, but I just started back lifting at age 41 after a 20 year break. I have been back at it for about 6 months now and I feel and look 100% better than I previously did. I am benching more at 41 than I did at 20.

I can’t max out on deads or squat yet because I only have 315 pounds of plates right now which I am doing for reps. Need to make myself a sign that says “Will work for 45s”. I just wanted to say how much I love this web site and really appreciate the tips and information that are available on here. I would like to go back in time and kick my 21 year old ass for taking up golf.

Nice to have you. At least you should not be beaten up after 20 years off.

Welcome! I still like to play golf myself, I just don’t plan on ever being very good at it.
