Just started Smolov for squat (also playing with the bench smolov at same time to see how it goes, but prioritising squat).
Starting squat - 165kg beltless
2 days into Base, back is pretty knackered already. Back pump between sets is crazy, and lying down during recovery appears to be the best for of relief.
Legs are handling it well so far - just mild cramping and minimal DOMS (I squatted light for 4x per week for 2 weeks leading in.
