I am starting to get back into working out (after a 4 year hiatus) and I am wondering if it would be wise to take preworkout/recovery supplements. Since it has been so long since I worked out, I feel like I am essentially a beginner again. With this being the case, should I even worry about taking any supps? Would they be worth it or are they meant more for people who have been working out consistently for a long time and may be hitting a plateau?
I have bought a generic Fish Oil, some amino acid recovery, and C4 preworkout. Does this sound like a smart idea for a beginner?
Also, I think I will combine all those things with Biotests Alpha Male. This isn't a dangerous mix at all is it? I do have little high cholesterol and a family history of heart problems but I am eating better and starting to work out so this is (seemingly) not an issue right now. I am 27 years old.
