I’ve been having trouble with minor strains in my left groin that keep me from squatting heavy. I’ve read (I think something Dave Tate wrote) about “gluteal amnesia”. My glutes don’t have that much development. When doing an unweighted squat motion my glutes don’t seem to tighten. Is there a connection between straining the groin by not getting enough glute recruitment? I believe that GHR and reverse hypers would help my glutes (24 Hr F doen’t have the equipment) but is there something formwise I need to be doing to activate my glutes when squatting?
