Squats, Breathing, and Head Pressure

I’ve been holding my breath as I squat down but I feel lots of pressure build up in my head. Is that normal? and can you let some out just to relieve that pressure without putting the back in risk? Thanks

Yup! Take a bigger breath, maybe wear a belt for the cue of bracing.

I try to think “breathe horizontally” or “expand the obliques”. I feel that once I get this, I feel that intra-abdominal pressure in my lower back too.

I wouldn’t. I just live with the pressure.

Decide what is most important to you and do that thing.
