I need help picking out a squat suit. For my first meet. Inzer Z suit or champion suit.
Are you competing in a federation that only allows single ply?
You will not get much carryover from either suit as they are in my opinion training suits at best. But, if finances are tight and you want to go with one of them I would go with the Champion. The Z-suit has a real tight leg lock which most powerlifters are starting to agree doesn’t matter. It needs to be tight in the hips, not the legs.
Again, so if you are on a tight budget and competing in a IPF/single ply meet I would go with the Champion.
Dont waste your time with either. The reason they are so cheap is because they are actually worthless. I would suggest and Ipf metal suit or even a Frantz if you are relatively new to the sport.
I am going to go with a Frant suit. Does anyone have any experience with these? I am going to go with the single polyester for my first meet.
While you guys are on the subject (I’m not trying to highjack the thread) at what point should an amateur begin lifting with a suit. I have never lifted any other way except raw (no belts, knee wraps, or otherwise). What kind of increase would using such equipment brint to your totals?
