Is the advice to sit way back into the squat meant mostly for equipped powerlifters, or does “sitting back” constitute good form for raw squatters as well?
sitting back is important for all squatters as this will help recruit the hams/glutes. box squatting will teach you to sit back and do it safely as the box will prevent you from falling backwards. granted you probably won’t sit back in a free squat near as far as you will a box squat, but it certainly will improve your form. SIT WAY BACK!
oh yea its just good form for all squaters…even close stance and medium stance squaters need ot sit back into there hips and gut…check pictures of ed coan squat and you will ssee perfect sitting back form…bm
