Spread the Floor in Weightlifting Shoes?

Hello All:

I recently purchased a pair of Adidas weightlifting shoes and plan to use them for squatting. My question is if I should still focus on spreading the floor with these shoes as I did with my old flat soled ones? I currently squat with a moderately-wider than shoulder width stance.

Yes. Always spread the floor, it’ll increase hip power.
