Split Jerk Critique

#1

I had my first session with Richard Flemming from Spoon Barbell club last week and technique wise he has me practicing the first pull of both lifts and the split jerk. I am only going to be training with him 1-2 times per month right now so I want to get some other eyes on my technique so I don't get too off track. here is a split jerk @ 175lbs. any advise is greatly appreciated.

thanks

I'd say if you're serious about competing in weightlifting, don't try to get up as soon as you finish the jerk. It is very easy to apply horizontal force to the bar when you're lifting at or near your max.

Take a second. See if it's there. Then two small steps with front foot followed by one small step with back foot to finish.
