Soreness in Left Lat Only

Hi guys,

I have been working out my back and one thing I have notice is that I always feel sore on my left lateral but never in the right side lateral. And this is for whatever exercise I do, seated cable rows and lateral pulldowns. The tension is always on the left side only. I should feel it in both sides. What is wrong with it? Can this be a symmetry problem?

Foam roll your upper back and work on thoracic extension and see if that helps.

second this and also add that you should consider doing both movements one arm at a time, focusing on strict form. if that fixes the issue, great. you were probably being sloppy. If it doesn’t, chances are you have some pretty serious imbalances around your scapula on the right.sode that is interfering with proper movement or motor patterns and leading to compensation in movement.
