Sore After High Frequency?

I started using Chad Waterbury methods of high frequency training. and he says your not supposed to annihilate your muscles. but the day after working out i feel sore. is this bad?

anyone?

No it is not bad but are you sure you are leaving a rep or two in the tank?

Are you sore after two sessions a day or one?
What is your level of conditioning?
Have you been doing full body sessions before?
Have you trained a muscle more then 3 times per week before?

Have you used 8x3 before?

Are you sure this is the program you should be doing right now?

As you can see, there might be a lot of reasons why you are sore.
Also, what’s the level of soreness you are experiencing?
A bit of tightness or not being able to comb your hair kind of soreness?

Some random tips:

on a HF program:
Drink more water
Eat more, especially before, during and after sessions
stretch after each exercise, especially on days you work out twice
leave a rep, or two, in the tank
Eat an enormous meal before going to bed
sleep your 8 hours (even though I did not, trust me, I wish I had)

Good luck,

Marc

I just started using high frequency because it made way more senese than splits for average ppl that arent on the juice.

So im used to doing splits. well the first workout i was sore only one day. well have to see with the second if im still sore tomorrow then it’ll be 2 days. Yes i leave a rep or 2 in the tank.

i mean if being sore is good then i dont really care becuz its not like im gonna bitch about it but i was just worried cuz i rememberd chad sayin on high frequency you dont want to annihilate your muscles.

Understood. But I think Chad means that you shouldn’t annihilate your muscles to the point that you are sore for many days and can hardly move.

Several times he has mentioned that you should train through light soreness (meaning training again even though you are not 100% recovered).

It sounds like you are doing the right thing.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress,

marc

being sore doesn’t mean that you destroyed your muscles. It can just mean you worked them, aren’t used to the training, or havent uses those muscle before.

So being sore just means you mostly likely aren’t used to the training yet
