Reading literature on the lap band surgery, it says that you can’t drink soda. It has to do with the gas. Now, does the carbonation in soda lead to gas which increases the size of a persons stomach? This in turn will make the person need more food to be full.
Tons of big people out there who drink diet soda like crazy but are still big. It almost sounds like a conspiracy between soda companies and food companies but it does make sense to me. [/quote]
Well, you’re the only one. There’s also plenty of walking skeletons out their who live of diet soda, coffee, and cigarettes. It’s the extra value meal and Crispy Kremes fat people are using the diet soda to wash down that make them fat. Have you never had a lot of liquid, be it diet soda or water? It temporarily makes you full [though stretch receptors and a full stomach cannot overide deeper signals of hunger for long].
