Does anyone else find snatch pulls easier? There is a lighter load on back , it’s easiert to get proper height than clean pulls. I find my back doesn’t like heavy clean pulls much, but feels rejuvenated after snatch pulls even fairly heavy ones likes >90%
The wider grip gives you a longer pulling range, so you should be able to put more acceleration on the bar.
As most folks can pull significantly more than they can clean/snatch, the disadvantaged start position doesn’t really come into play.
Once you’re comfortable with the setups, this is pretty typical. You may want to revisit your clean setup as back pain is a good sign something is up.
