Smaller Increments, 5/3 Principle-->10/6

Coach Jim,
Strength is a lifelong pursuit. While I’m serious about training, I am in no rush to get my squat to 500 pounds. I am an athlete, and I want to do better at my sport. I know that lifting is important, specially in grappling, but above all, balance is the most important thing.

I’ve been using smaller increments to progress over the long term, instead of going for 5kg/2kg increments on the lifts, I go with 2kg/1kg. I mantain good form, break PR’s, and try to maintain good bar speed.
Keeping faithfull to the 5 forward/ 3 backward principle, since I am using smaller increments, would it be ok to go 10 cycles forward, 6 backwards?

Thanks
