Smaller Exercises Intensity/Volume

For smaller exercises like push downs/extensions, face pulls, rear DB flyes and neck harness, do most of you guys still ramp up to one all out set or just pump up with lighter weight for more volume? These exercises seem like they can lead to injury if done with heavy weights so I figured pumping on them might be smarter in the long run.

I’m experimenting with this now and was wondering what others do.

I prefer to use these exercises a mean to drive as much muscle as I can in the muscle(s)

Yo dawg, I heard you like having muscles, so I put muscles in your muscles so that you can muscle while you’re muscling.
