Slow eccentrics are really a struggle for me. I first started doing them while on your Layers Program and then saw the other coaches describing its benefits (Joel Seedman’s Eccentric Isometrics). However I really suck at them. I can’t usually even do the prescribed % for the Layers and have to go 5-10 lbs less, even if I PR’ed on the Rep Max for that week.
Do you think this would indicate any weaknesses or weak spots that I need to work on? I’m a 1B btw and like to lift things explosively.
