CT, We’ve discussed using reverse banding for press work, because of my pectoralis major tear to increase volume. I’m thinking of using reverse banding for the ramp to a training max for these sessions, as well as the possibility of using chains for the speed work portion at the end of the layers. I’ve had great success recently using straight weight, but I’ve started to have issues with my healthy pec and shoulder so this is a of a hedge against overusing straight weight to avoid injury.
To be sure I would be using the EliteFTS Fierce Light Onyx bands to ensure that I am not artificially putting weights onto the bar. I certainly appreciate your feedback, as you’ve helped me to improve this area unlike anything I’ve ever tried on my own. Thanks for your insights.
