Skill Work vs. Lifting

When training for a sport, how did you find the correct balance between skill work and lifting?

I have the opportunity to do skill work 5 days per week 1.5-2 hours at a time.

Am I stupid to do this and attempt to do a very, very basic Squat/Press + chins and Deadlift/press + lower back 2 day template at 75%-80% TM?

This is simple: you do the least amount of work you need to do, in all the different areas, in order to make progress. For most athletes that are in-season or doing a shit ton of skill work, they lift two times a week.

Much has to do with how much work they are doing.
