Left calf is very very sore. Not sure if a big knot or a tear. I did it doing farmers 2 weeks ago and still sore just to walk. I stepped down off a platform and bang it went again. Fkn hate being not young. Cold make it a very hot and sweaty session.

This cold/flu virus is kicking my a$$. Didn’t train at the weekend but did try to stay active doing chores and going for walks. My left calf is definitely injured, tried picking up and cleaning my green barrel at the weekend and any type of triple extension lit up my calf like a electric shock. Hobbled around on it most of the weekend and tried to self massage it but still sore AF.
Monday morning here and my head is full of snott and I am tired from a weekend of no sleep. wife is sick too so at least my misery has had company.
I AM going to the gym tonight. I don’t care how shit I feel or if I have to do an abbreviated session and AM going.
Anyway enough moaning from me, I will get back in my box now and shut up.

First set mixed grip and then Add straps to save my elbow a bit, no belt. Lungs are really fked with this cold. These were proper tough pulls from a deficit, especially the first rep. Happy with them though.

Overall happy with the session, especially given my current man flu.
Dude get some rest. There’s likely more to loose than to gain from ignoring this. Listening to your body and adjusting accordingly is not the same as bein soft, my friend

I’m with @Koestrizer - at least get your calf checked out. In case you tore something, you definitely want to nip the trouble in the bud instead of it interfering with months of training. Even if this strongman comp is a no-go, you’ll be positioning yourself for future competitions.
It has been over 6 years since I tore the same calf back in my running days and I have aggravated it many times and managed it since then. It will be fine with some light massage and rest. I will add a compression to it for the comp and it will hold together no problems. 2 weeks in Bali post comp will be the perfect rest.
