Improper technique, lack of streching,no warm-ups,muscle balance, chest prioritization,–lots of things are involved,I don’t have enough info to help. do you work rotor cuff BEFORE chest/shoulder w/o’s? Give the glucosamine at least 4 weeks to start working! Fish oils always “lube” my joints, and I use this during mt ‘heavy’ phases. Not much ,but I hope this helps!
NBWallin, thanks for the info. Sig also recommended the MSM. I’ve only found it at one place (GNC). So I’m trying to search other places that have it at an AFFORDABLE price. I definitely need to add it to my Gluc/Chon supplements to get the best effect on my shoulders. Thanks again!
The “quick” fix(just take a pill) isn’t going to work. Get to the root of the problem. Your shoulders aren’t hurting because your not taking MSM,they hurt because there is another problem
Logan, I always practice good form (at least what I have learned as good form), and I also stretch prior to each workout. I was working my rotator cuff prior to my chest workouts, but I have slacked recently. Since I have been using such light weights, I haven’t been working the rotator as much.
I know it’s hard to diagnose on the forum. I really need someone to look and feel for themselves. Massage therapy has helped a bit, but not as much as I had hoped. I have a lot of adhesion buildup, and the therapy is loosening it up. But much of my pain almost feels as though it’s in my shoulder joint.
I'll give the Gluc/Chon at least four weeks. I have also been icing after my workouts. I need to find ways to alleviate the pain and still work out. I have gotten so out of shape, it's disgusting. I feel so weak, and I can tell that I've lost size and strength. This is really destroying my motivation. I may need to find other ways to stay in shape until I can heal up. I hope the seminar will help me correct my form and maybe some of the attendees will be able to check out my shoulders.
Sounds good Dogg!!! Didn’t mean to sound negative, just trying to help. Good luck & might see you at the seminar
Logan, your post wasn’t taken in a negative way. It did help because all those factors need to be taken into account. I’m sure there is something that I’m not doing enough of or not doing correctly. I just need someone to show me what it is! If you’re at the seminar, I’ll be sure to see you! Thanks again!
Thx Cjack. My dolgit creme is on the way. I anxious to try that stuff on.
