Side Deadlifts

what are the real effect of the side deadlifts, wich muscle are solicited?

Great exercise! I actually did them yesterday as part of my Renegade workout. It’s been a long time since they’ve been in my plan.

They will work your legs, back and obliques hard on each side depending on the weight used and your form. I start them like a regular deadlift with my hips low and knees bent. I push starting with my legs and then stand up holding the weight steady.

Haven’t seen this one before, looks good though. Might try it using Nate’s method.

When doing side deadlifts do you do them 1 side at a time or do you do both sides at the same time?


How can you not want to do side deads?

One arm at a time, if you don’t then you’re moving away from a unilateral movement.
