Shoulder Strain

Last week when I was doing front squats, I seemed to have strained my left shoulder. Now I’ll feel it throughout the workout. Any resistance seems to trigger the pain again for a little while.

Any one have some recommendations on how to treat it? I’ll talk to the sports PT tomorrow, if possible, but just curious as to how you guys deal with it.

The best physical therapy is dont use it til it stops hurting.

No, some injuries are caused by muscular imbalances and unless you stopped training until your muscle mass was back to 0 it would not go away.

I stopped training for several months to make an injury go away and it did nothing for me what so ever.

It went away after training back constantly and fixing the imbalances.

I’m not saying however that what you said isn’t good advice for the OP, because it probably is.

OP - if you feel like you have sprained it the best thing you can do is to ice it/rest it for a week.
