Shoulder Resurfacing

Just got back from surgery today to fix a shoulder impingement issue due to a bone spur. While this may help the surgeon told me that I have degenerative arthritis and very little cartilage in my right shoulder which he did not expect to find as it would not typically show on an MRI.

I need to go back for a follow-up next week, but he mentioned shoulder resurfacing as an option to my wife. Has anyone had this done and what are your thoughts. FYI, the surgeon said my rotator cuff looked very good which is apparently a prerequisite for success with this type of surgery.

Appreciate any feedback.
