I have a problem performing cleans, power cleans and front squats. My right shoulder/arm begins to hurt. I went to my doctor and he said that it was a nerve problem called Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. Anyone have any suggestions on how to alleviate the problem?
That completely depends on what’s causing your thoracic outlet syndrome. If your doc hasn’t figured out what’s causing it yet, you should ask him to do so. If it’s something like a cervical rib, the treatment is surgical removal. There are other causes with treatment being anything from medical to surgical, but it’s hard to tell you more without knowing the exact etiology of your symptoms.
