At the start of the lift (Snatch or Clean) are the shoulders pulled back hard, allowed to be apart, or somewhere in between? I know they are supposed to be forward of the bar, but relative to the rib cage, where should they sit?
Just keep your back straight and your chest up (as if your walking in muscle beach), that will take care of ur question.
Brace your shoulders back, but do remember you try and shrug UP and not backwards with your shoulders.
They are suppose to be over the bar but that doesn’t mean they should be rounded forwards.
Like the other poster, chest, big and up and out. Shoulders back but over the bar.
