Guys, anybody know whether I have a major problem on the horizon? I have no problem holding a heavy weight but this week, setting it down sometimes causes some pain in the brief transition from the left shoulder bearing the full load to the surface taking it. I think I may have shaken it up doing a clean from blocks. I do rotator cuff exercises, first in the workout. Any advice would be appreciated.
Also, I should mention that I do hardly any direct shoulder work, just two sets of a vertical pressing movement per week, either 6-8 reps or 8-10. I do many pull-ups and rows, and dumbbell benchwork.
Personally, I do rotator work late in the workout so that it is not fatigued and can give maximum support to the shoulder girdle.
