Shoulder Impingement

I have pretty bad impingement in my right shoulder, which has been a problem for a while but I’ve managed to keep it under control. I aggravated it last week and it’s been very painful ever since.

I’ve stopped all overhead lifting. I ice three times per day and take 800 mg ibuproefen twice per day. I try to keep good posture so that my shoulder cavity is open.

Does anyone have any tricks/methods that have helped them with impingement problems?

Ice and rest. Get it checked. If there’s nothing but inflammation, see sentence #1. If there’s something structural going on, like a bone spur, cartilage tear, get it fixed.

Don’t do incline presses with a barbell.

Lots of sex (I don’t think this does anything for the shoulder, but it helps with other things)
