Why on earth would anyone think that Iranians are not nice folks? Any country’s population is “kind and gentle” to visitors. That is, unless you have heavy artillery, automatic weapons, and plan to invade, occupy their lands, or attempt to topple their regimes.
Yes, the majority of Iranians would probably want a more democratic regime but the more pressure you put on Tehran, the more the Iranians will rally around and support their theocracy. They haven’t forgotten the price they paid last time you guys interfered with their government.
