I bought these burritos I used to get as a kid for some nostalgia eating.
They say in bright letters 0g trans fats per serving on the front of the package.
But sure enough hydrogenated soybean oil on the ingredients.
Serving size is 1 stinking burrito and I used to eat like 9 at a time.
Should I eat these burritos?[/quote]
Just eating a few won’t kill you.
Hydrogenated oils are on the top 10 worst things we eat. They’re probably one big reason why heart issues have grown yet other healthy fats get the blame.
That packaging is terribly misleading (saying 0 transfats, but showing hydrogenated oil in the ingredients list). The FDA isn’t doing its job!

If the label says 0g, it can actually contain up to 0.5g and they can label it as having none per serving. So you ‘could’ be getting 4.5g a day, if you’re eating 9 a day.
