Should I Avoid Whey Protein Before Competition?

Should I avoid whey protein isolates powder and others so I dont look soft if I do a bodybuilding show , 10 days out.
Should I just stick to chicken, and turkey?

In the past I read that you should avoid shakes at least the last week before a show. Recently, I decided to have shakes all the way into the 3 shows I did back to back to back and I ended up winning the overall; earning my pro card; and qualified for the Olympia. So, I can’t really say that the shakes made me soft.
