I was recently diagnosed with shin splints and was wondering if you had any advise on treatments out there other than ice and rest. This has put my leg workouts to a standstill. Any advise would be appreciated. By the way OVT kicks ass I have had great success on it and will be posting before and afters soon.
I don’t want to hijack this from CT, but I have heard that running backwards will help with shin splints. You want to be wary of doing so when the tibia/muscle tendons are aggravated of course, but it may help to build up the muscle so they dont reoccur.
Also, invest in some shock absorbing insoles.
