Shelf Life of Dried, Pitted Prunes?

I bought a bag of dried pitted prunes about 2 months ago but never got around to eating them. Since then they’ve sat on my kitchen counter at room temperature in an air tight bag.

I don’t see an expiry date on the packaging… do these things last forever?

Thanks

I have a tub of pitted prunes, and the expiration date is a year from now. So, I’m assuming that if you bought them recently, they are still good and will be good for at least 1 year.

fella… it’s like 4 bucks…

they are good until there is mold on them. so they will probably last forever.

To Serd + zenontheterrible: Thanks!

To OctoberGirl: lol, I know, but it’s on the principle that food should never go to waste.
