Sheiko Cycle: Testing Maxes

Hey everyone!

I have been a lurker on this site for a few years, but this is my first post. I am currently in my 4th week of my first sheiko cycle (#29). I am loving it so far and I feel like my 1rm’s will much better after i test at the end of the cycle.

I am wondering about the best way to test maxes. Should i take a whole week off first? or just 5 days? should i test squat, bench, deads all on the same day? After the week off should i start another sheiko cycle or different training plan? #29 again or which cycle next?

For those who are interested my maxes at the start of this program:
1RM
Squat: High-bar, narrow stance, ass-to-grass=315 lbs.
Dead: Standard stance (not sumo, whatever its called)=355 lbs.
Bench: paused, full range, elbows semi tucked=245 lbs.
Bodyweight= 171 Lbs.
Goals:
S=345 lbs.
D=385 lbs.
B=260 lbs.

Thanks!

Normally you would run a sheiko peaking cycle to test your maxes. However, don’t do this until you run at least one more prep cycle and preferably two. Be patient. The big lifts will come.

PS: This being said…there are some times when doing the 85% lifts I just let her rip and see what I can max out at. Don’t make this the norm, but just do it every now and then when you feel strong. And then just think of what you could have done with a peaking program.
