130 for inclines. Extremely adequate. You bringing them up to position from the floor alone?
HAHA! No, I heft one up on my shoulder, sit on the incline bench, then have someone hand the other one. Full ROM though
I can’t kick up or clean anything past 100 lb db’s. My legs are too short, my torso too long. I always rip a nipple off or expend so much energy getting them into place.
Thanks Giterdone! I actually started on BB Inclines, did about 5 reps with 135 and told my training partner “Nope, not happening tonight”. Bar felt funny on my shoulders. DB’s felt great, though, and got a weight PR.
Was going to do shoulders tonight, but have a little glitch in my side. I felt it yesterday, but raising hands above head makes it hurt.
It feels like a stitch (like when you’re sprinting) in my side. I’m half afraid it’s my appendix, but it doesn’t seem intense or acute enough (or low enough).
Don’t know if I might have moved a rib, or tore some fibers in my obliques or what. It kind of hurts when I take a deep breath, but not if I poke at it (just below ribs on right side).
Pain seems more related to certain movements than just poking at it.
might have strained the muscle a little with those one arm shrugs, which were great btw. You’re strength levels just keep going up. (don’t let them give you no shit about the smith machine)
Taken 3 days off, and the pain has gone down a little. Now it’s mostly if I suck in my gut or take a really deep breath. I still can’t even pinpoint where the pain is, but it’s deep inside because I can’t “poke” at it or find it by probing.
My fear is that I’ve herniated something, mildly or otherwise. I don’t feel bulges, but I’m afraid to lift any weight.

Sounds like it is time for a doc. Even if it starts to feel better and you start lifting heavy again, I would think you would want to know if there are any risks. Plus you don’t want that fear in the back of your mind holding you back, IMO.
JJ - I agree. I can handle stuff that I can pinpoint! This guesswork sucks!
Monday - Lifted chest
Tuesday, noticed stitch in right side, mid-afternoon. Lifted
Wed - pronounced steady feeling in side, went to gym, just spotted friend
Thurs/Fri - Off
Sat - Probably off.
It’s gone down considerably. I just can’t figure out WHEN this started. I noticed it Tues afternoon. Did I strain somehting Monday?
Would I have felt it if I herniated something during a lift?
If I strained something, I might not have felt it immediately.
Could have really been my appendix, or gall bladder, or liver (or whatever else is right there) been inflamed for some reason and slowly subsiding?
I have no hernia bulges that I can find from my scrotum, thigh, lower belly, under ribs etc. I would think a nasty hernia would express itself SOMEWHERE?

I don’t know!! lol.
My hernia did not express right away, in fact it didn’t bulge for several momths or so my docs believe.
I lifted and played sports up until the day of my Sx though.

Play it by ear. We’ll see tomorry.
i get those pulls all the time. it really sucks but i find that it’s more painful than anything. it really didn’t affect my training as long as i could stand the pain. it wasn’t like i was going to make it worse. those things seem to happen out of the blue without warning.
