Seriously, Lixy

Lixy,

If we (the USA) were evil, like you have said we are, would Karbala, Tehran, Falujah, Mecca, and so on still exist? If we were like Nazis, do you know what would have happened to the Muslim population via reprisals?

It doesn’t happen. Why not? Check your premises.

Remember all the Iraqis with blue fingers? They did a thing called VOTING? Some of the candidates were extremist whack jobs — they got few votes. Why?

The Middle Eastern countries cannot even wipe out tiny Israel. If we were evil, what do you think would happen if we unleashed our power on these countries? They still exist. Why?

Terrorists are often called Muslim extremists. What does that mean? Does it mean that they take Islam to its extremes? As a system, is this a religion of death? Who worships death more, the country that builds schools and hospitals, bridges and power plants, or a system that unleashes animals to wear suicide bombs into crowds of old ladies and children?

Now I think you can fathom what America is all about. We love life. We are joyful. We hope others will join us in this approach to living. You stand with those who oppose this worldview when you denounce us. Is this what you SERIOUSLY want to do?

Always dangerous to have “serious” and “Lixy” in close proximity to one another in a sentence. But the title of this thread is an exception.

I always wondered how much time it’ll take for someone to name a thread after me.

Anyway, your argument is nothing but an unelaborte ignoratio elenchi - A.K.A: Red herring.

(e.g: I should not pay a fine for reckless driving. There are actual dangerous criminals on the street, and the police should be chasing them instead of harassing a decent tax-paying citizen like me.)

No doubt that oligarchical capitalism knocks the pants of Nazism anytime. The fact that we’re having this debate right now (and not shooting at each other) attests to the high regards freedom to blow hot air gets.

That I am even bothering to unveil the many wrongdoings done in your name is proof enough of my faith in the ability of your system to be changed from within. Many MANY Americans share similar concerns and are making their voices heard. I think the recent landslide victory of Democrats in Congress shows that.

Every country is evil on some level, because it puts its own interests over that of Humanity. Sweden sells weapons to conflict zones and Switzerland allows dictators and criminals to launder their ill-gotten riches.

The two places I could think of which are universally (yet stereotypically) accepted as nice and calm states. The question is not IF a state has an evil side, but HOW MUCH damage that evil is causing globally.

The US wins by a large margin here. Heck, when you maintain 737 military bases in over 130 countries, you’re probably up to no good (It’s like a person owning more than a hundred guns and claiming they’re all for defense).

Your argument that I “stand with those who oppose this worldview when you denounce us” is so flawed, it’s laughable. You divide the world in two parts: Those with you and those against you. This is as dangerous and misguided a speech as Ben-Laden’s. Sadly, you’re just echoing your president’s infamously subversive line.

SERIOUSLY, do you think the world is black and white and that whatever the US does is irreproachable? Do you think that being better the Nazis gives you carte blanche to behave as you wish?

The world is not a Leone movie where the big guns get to dictate the rules. It’s a place where people relentlessly fight oppression and strive for a better tomorrow (better don’t necessarily stands for more gadgets or bigger cars). Call me idealist if you must, but allow me to label you as an apologist.

“Yeah sure, we kill and oppress people but…the Nazis were a lot worse” - HH

HH, you of all people shouldn’t use the word “seriously”, seriously.

And thunderbolt, you should know better than to encourage this moron.

I’ve never seen Lixy say the US was evil.
I’ve seen HH declare Islam is religion of death. I’ve seen him declare that there’s no room for Muslim politicians in the US. I’ve seen him declare that the war in Iraq should be fought more inhumane. That the gloves need to come off.

Btw, how’s you cough? Hey, I can’t show any interest in your health anymore?

Who’s country are you speaking off when you say they build schools and hospitals and stuff? Are you talking about Iran, Syria? They have schools and hospitals. Do you think they just sprout up in the desert overnight? I’m convinced they’ve build them.

But let’s talk about who’s countries are building what.
I know a country that has a nuclear arsenal large enough to destroy the planet 100 times. That is determined to “update” their nuclear capabilities, perhaps in an effort to destroy the world 101 times. What country would that be? Is it the cowardly French? Is it the evil Iranians?
Well, whadayaknow, it’s the joyful US ! ! !

We’ve seen you “unleash” your power in Iraq. After the first shock and awe was over, the world is less and less impressed.

You’re quite right, the majority of the Iraqi people didn’t vote for extremist whack jobs. They still got a number of votes though, and last time I checked, they are in the government of Iraq.

But you opened a can of worms here. Why did the majority of people of the US vote for an extremist whack job?

Your very own hate tread by HH.

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S ! ! !

To my dem friends (bradley, tme, beowolf):

Does it ever give you pause when guys like lixy name you as allies?

If I were you, I’d be checking my premises.

Pick a thread, any thread.

What Lixy and company fail to grasp is that the terrorists are using our own goodness, our own morality, as a weapon against us. If we were evil, as Lixy has said, we’d have not hesitated a minute to initiate reprisals. Hell, we even know that Iran is supplying bombs for the terrorists. If we’re evil, where’s the reprisals?

Since these reprisals do not happen, it therefore follows that Lixy’s position is logically incorrect.

What happened when the Czech’s killed Reinhard Heydrich? The Nazis killed off an entire village.

This is a key point. Lixy trolls this site to hate on America. He does nothing but spread propaganda.

If you find yourself agreeing with jihadist propaganda just because you would like to see a different party have the presidency it is time to rethink your position.

They do seem to be becoming allies.

Let’s be serious now for a moment (it’s the name of the thread after all).

Whenever I criticize the US, it’s AFTER there’s a majority-concensus in the international community about the issue.

If you were not aware of that, I suggest you read UN transcripts once in a while, or walk down the streets of Milan, Managua or Mumbai. You live in a bubble and think that you can get away with murder by justifying it with wars against Communism/terrorism/Islamism or whatever other fad your strategic planners come up with.

[quote]Headhunter wrote:

Le’mme guess. Is it like when the you knew Saddam had WMDs?

Ok, so we should all be grateful then that you killed countless Iraqis on false pretenses, are starving Cubans while strenghtening Castro’s tyrannical regime, bombed the hell out of Moqadishio, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Sudan, Lebanon, Guatemala, Colombia, El Salvador, Granada and all the others crimes commited in the name of your people.

You’re probably right. In that light, we (people who care about other people) should indeed be grateful that you only threaten Iran.

Ummm…this sounds like you are calling us Nazis (Hitler DID wage a war against Bolshevism). I simply ask for the proof. Where are the reprisals? Why not set up a dictator like Saddam but more to our liking, and not hold elections?

You’ve been misled by ideas which are propaganda. If your local imam says 2 + 2 make 5, do you believe him?

Lixy how many Americans do you see strapping bombs to themselves and blowing up little kids and elderly? not a lot right? now lets take a look at your friends in Iraq. A lot of retards willing to blow themselves up.

Again with your pathetic manichean line?

“If you’re not with us, you’re with the enemy”?

You’re not even trying to use whatever’s between your ears…

Awww. The cyberjihadists don’t like us. What a shame.

[quote]Headhunter wrote:

Yep! Terrorists (I refuse to call them the PC term “insurgents”) hide behind women and children and shoot at coalition troops. They have recently started using children to protect car bombs. They shoot at us and then retreat into mosques. They hide their weapons in hospitals and schools.

Oh, and Allah forbid we freaking drop a Koran on the ground. They riot in the streets like we sawed a mullah’s head off…and the libs buy into the “bad America” hook, line, and sinker.

Read “Blackhawk Down” for more on those honorable and peace-loving Muslims. Don’t watch the movie, it was severely sanitized for the PC crowd. It was common for a Somali to lay down in the street with a machine gun with children sitting on his back. He knew American troops were forbidden to shoot at women and children. Yes, those good Muslims really protect the small and the weak.

I think we kind of got tired of saving the world, having to deploy millions of Americans to die to protect other’s freedom, wondering “When is the UN going to do something?” So, we maintain forces around the globe to keep the peace (the actual job of the pathetically impotent UN).

And, oh by the way, at the request of the host nation. Now, of course some of the good people of those nations may object, but their government asks us to be there.

Who are the bad guys more affraid of, UN “peacekeepers” or US military forces?

Shit, we keep MASSIVE amounts of weaponry in strategic reserve storage all over Scandinavia in caves. Is that evil? Do you think your government knows this?

It is very apparent to most people exactly what you are doing on this site and it has nothing to do with training or sincere political discussion.
