Secondary Hypogondadism, Estradiol Out of Control

Hi All,

I haven’t been on the forum in quite some time, mainly due to frustration of not seeing any results and kind of just giving up. However, I’m attempting to aggressively revisit this as my remaining symptoms are beyond frustrating.

My primary issue is sexual dysfunction. I get no morning wood, and always lose my erection very early during sex which is incredibly embarassing - even when taking up to 50mg Viagra. I will note that I’ve never had this issue before my low T discovery, and had a ton of sex. This is not a psychological cause for me and obviously doesn’t seem like there’s a physical issue since even Viagra won’t work - it’s purely due to little to no libido.

My only other remaining symptoms are minor fatigue and attention span problems (confirmed by neurological cognitive testing). My latest test results are below, which look really good to me - so I’m just at a loss for what else I can do. I’ll also note that I’ve seen a few neurologists and an endocrinologist where nothing else was found, including MRI on brain and pituitary.

I really respect the knowledge, opinion, and guidance provided by the members of this site - so I’d greatly appreciate if someone had any ideas or comments here. Happy to answer any questions you may have.

My current dose is Clomid 12.5mg every 3 days and Arimidex .25mg every 3 days.

Have you looked into possible Thyroid issues? I think you should consider this as a possibility as there is a correlation between hypothyroidism and hypogonadism, just a thought.

I would take a look at the thyroid sticky and also take morning temps for a week. Anything under 97.5 would indicate you are either iodine deficient and/or hypo.

I have a lot of issues myself. I had initially suspected sex hormones but, now I believe they were actually impacted by my thyroid (hypo). Still working towards a solution but, I overlooked thyroid issues as well. Its something everyone should consider and rule out when dealing with these issues.

Thanks MUthrows. I think it’s a valid point, however I’ve had a significant amount of thyroid testing and everything always looked really good. I will try and dig up those results but this was my initial suspicion as well so I definitely have tried that path.

Have you tried giving up the clomid? Your numbers are great on only 12.5 mg E3D. You might be able to maintain decent levels without it and you won’t have to deal with any clomid side effects. Your TT level will probably drop but you might actually feel better. Ksman recommends continuing the AI when weaning off of clomid. Get labs on your own every 4 to 6 weeks to see how you’re doing.

While certain blood work may appear “Normal” to you and your doctor, it can actually be quite the contrary. I had many hypo symptoms with “Normal” bloodwork. Body temps would be the easiest, quickest and most accurate way to rule out any iodine/thyroid issues.
