Seated Dumbbell Cleans?

I’ve seen a few people talking about doing seated dumbbell cleans, but I’m not sure how to do them correctly. I’ve looked online, but can’t find a demonstration on how to properly do them. Does anyone have a link to a video, or a good description?

I saw them first on a Westside tape.

Sit at the end of a bench, hold two dumbbells at arms length, keep the arch in the low back, lean forward to lower dbls almost to floor, pause, sit up/back quickly while shrugging hard and clean both dbls to front delts, repeat.

Interesting way of doing them, but I’ve heard that DB cleans are bad for your shoulders.

I’ll stick to a barbell.

At the top, should your thumbs be toward your delts, or should they be toward each other?

Here’s the description on from Dave Tate

Thanks! I did a search on Dave’s site, but that didn’t come up…
