Scott Dixon (Prilepin's Table for Hypertrophy)

Hello from France,

I am curently training CT superhero program…but still reading all articles here

just read :

and was wondering about volume of this program, which seems to be “low” (no more than 12 sets per session).

What do you think about that ?
I think I will give it a try after my 6 weeks cycle.

Thanks !
and please, excuse my English

Depends on the intensity of the sets. You’re opening up a big can of worms here with the old HFT vs HIT. Personally i like spending a lot of time in the gym and doing numerous sets. If however you want to be in and out of the gym in 45 minutes and only go 3 times a week, then HIT is for you.

If you like training to failure and find it works well for you, then go for it. If not, then choose something more in line with Thibs’ programs and go for lower intensity and higher volume. Its a preferance thing…

So you’re wondering why a program CT wrote for fat loss and strength gains is not within the appropriate rep volume range for hypertrophy? hmm
