Safe to Post Pics Online?

Just curious. Somebody asked why people sometimes black out their faces. I saw a news report the other day about pictures being used without the owners consent. Just wanted to ask…anyone here worried about that kind of thing?

I worry about privacy, personally, not that someone will steal my image. The privacy concerns for me have to do with work.

Same here. I am a private person, and don’t see the point of posting pictures with my face. The company I work for is also very conservative.

Who would want to steal my image?

I’ve had people steal mine before on bb.com years back (using an old pic I put up on Flex.com as their own image). Yes, it does bother me. I try to balance that concern considering if I ever do compete, my image will be out there regardless.

I’ve experienced being tracked by a number of posters on this site over the years who seem to act like it is their job to follow me around the forums and sometimes in other forums. While not much overall, it is enough to confirm that everyone out there isn’t stable.

I’m really not sure if I should be more concerned.

That website posted seems to be dealing more with the public use of info on your own website. I am not sure that is the same as someone stealing your photo that you used on this site. I doubt the rules or laws are the same for the two.

Just hope you dont become the poster boy for a gay porn company… it could happen… LMAO

Me just hanging out.

I’m really, really, ridiculously good looking, so I don’t mind.

Is this you?

For serious.

Yeah, I’m kind of paranoid about it - not for any really good reasons. I don’t post pics.

I have had my identity stolen twice on MS. Which is why I quit the site. It was kinda lame anyways.

This is the kinda thing I’m speaking of. It was in the rate my physique section. Imagine if this pic gets in the wrong hands. He will never be able to run for office.

That right there is why that forum is blocked on my computer.

In fact, I am now mad that you even brought that shit to my attention. I was under the impression that some of that had died down. It has apparently caught on fire, put on bright red lipstick and is now strutting around for the world to see.

Guys used to not take pictures like that unless they were getting paid for a PlayGirl photo shoot or had a .45 aimed at their forehead.
