Russia Won't Go Away

That stuff about Manafort was mentioned during the Republican primaries when Trump hired Manafort to inject some competency into his campaign.

Nobody in the media gave a shit because they WANTED Trump to win, because they all KNEW that Hillary could beat Trump. Well, they got what they wished for, good luck with that.

Manafort brokered a deal to lobby on behalf of Russian interests around the time G.W. Bush and Putin went fishing together at Kennebunkport

I wonder if Manafort will roll over and cut a deal in which he saves himself jail time by giving up Trump?

Manafort signed a deal with Deripaska more than one year before Putin’s visit, which occurred in 2007.

Manafort pitched the plans to aluminum magnate Oleg Deripaska, a close Putin ally with whom Manafort eventually signed a $10 million annual contract beginning in 2006,

I’m giving you a 6/100 on the Trump deflection scale for your pathetic attempt to muddy the waters.

Hence “around the time”

As mentioned earlier Manafort’s association were known back when he was hired to be Trump’s campaign manager. No one cared then.

This whole storyline is manufactured

So James Comey, the guy you were cheering last October when he told Congress about finding additional Clinton emails, lied under oath on Monday along with Admiral Rogers? If it’s all manufactured, they must be in on it, right?

We can all continue to go back-and-forth on this for days…but the uneasy feeling I have had from the beginning was this:

The WikiLeaks/Russian release of information during the election was just too “one-sided”…from the Democratic National Committee…to Clinton and her Press Secretary’s e-mails.

Was the GOP and the Trump Organization THAT much better at Cybersecurity?

Why was there always this feeling that the leaks were coordinated and seemed to always come at “just the right moment” during the last few weeks of the election?

Whether all of this “swayed” the election is really moot (my personal opinion is “some”…but wasn’t the primary reason that Clinton lost); the issue is coordination with a foreign adversary to at the very least ATTEMPT to sway the election.

Every day that passes there appears to be more and more “There…there…”…

You can’t weasel your way out of this, Goebbels wannabe. You implied correlation with a very specific two day event (Putin’s visit to GWB) and now you’re claiming that an event that occurred more that a year before that is “around the time”

Except all that FAKE NEWS media that reported it at the time, even using these revealing descriptions:

Not only that, but they were used as an attention-grabber to shift the narrative away whenever Trump made a blunder - insulting the Gold Star family for example. In all those instances Wikileaks intervened with an immediate “hey, the Clintons”

Per Wikipedia, the first batch of Podesta’s e-mails went out literally minutes after the pussygrabbing video surfaced:

The first batch of emails were released less than one hour after The Washington Post published a controversial video of Donald Trump making lewd comments about women

Comey said this on Monday:

STEFANIK: Can you specify those others? Did that include the RNC? Did that include any of the other campaigns of candidates in the primaries, either Democrats or Republicans?

COMEY: I think what we can say in an unclassified setting is what we have in the report that there were efforts to penetrate organizations associated with the Republican party and that – I think that is what we said in the report. And that there were not releases of material taken – hacked from any Republican associated organizations.

STEFANIK: But the hacking – the use of cyber tools as part of their broader, whether you call it hybrid warfare or information warfare campaigns, it was done to both parties.

COMEY: Correct.

Also, CNN is reporting this tonight:

There was absolutely no hysteria then as there is now. Not saying that it went unreported

I tell you what, T…

Trump has drawn the Battle Lines with the media…CNN in particular.

This is all coming to a head that I don’t think will be very pretty…at all…

As a Cruz (or Kasich, or Rubio, or…) supporter at the time, I was pissed at how Manafort was getting a free pass in his TV interviews. The attitude was “wow, Trump is finally hiring a professional, his campaign is legit now”. Hahaha, reap what you sow.

I guess the Clinton Global Initiative should’ve spent more time doling out some bribe money, and not just demanding gobs of it; can’t blame them though, they had the election in the bag…

pg…

I agree with many others in saying that when you lose to a Black Man with a Muslim Name…then almost lose to a grumpy, 75 year-old Jewish Socialist with a lisp…AND you require some help from your parties committee to do so…the LAST thing you needed to be was confident…

…then Clinton loses to of all people…Donald Trump…

Think about that a little…Donald “The Donald” Trump…

(Sorry, Hillary…it’s true…America does hate you…)

What is Trump’s Russian motivation going back?

Shaking the Oil Money tree for revenues
PeePee thrills (lol)
Just got played as a point of entry after succumbing to flattery
Needed world class spooks to win prez?

This huge narrative is built on dealings with Russians going back 10-15? years, yet is some master plan that got discovered?

This is my thought, Treco…

For better or worse…for the past 30 plus years, Trump, his Life and all of his shenanigans were just part of American Life. Donald was Donald…we expected him to come up with something to make money or to maintain his relevance…and bang beauty queens along the way. We would shake out heads and just say…“Oh well…that’s Trump…”

In other words…what he did didn’t really matter to us.

Then HE changed the game.

He decided to run for the Office of President of the United States.

Then what was “okay” in terms of his business dealings and personal Life had implications that went way beyond his Gold Plated bed in Trump Tower. What he did and said affected not only us in the U.S. but other countries as well.

Let’s face it she sucked… Bernie was the guy and the Chardonnay Dems ignored the movement for the Clinton machine. But the good news is Trump’s a disaster and this Russian thing may end in the fastest impeachment ever. Possibly prison time. Just imagine the Oliver Stone movie total Oscar bait

I thought my sarcasm was obvious?

I’ll touch that leper Zeb -I agree with him! It’s a game. Zero chance Trump is impeached. Loosers gonna dream…

(I misspelled losers on purpose, to be clear) And by “loosers”, I mean all the people who had banked the Presidency before the election was actually held, and are now desperately listening to the same leaders who are desperately trying to feed the faithful some hope with this Trump witch hunt. The higher the expectations, the more bitter and angry the defeat, especially since “they” all still consider Trump nothing but a clown.

edit to add: and if I recall correctly, Zeb was the only one in this forum who said all along that Hillary would lose, even to Trump

On the positive side, this Russia thing did result in McMaster replacing Flynn. By all accounts a much more appropriate person for the job.

So far, the system seems to be working, fingers crossed.
