Running to Lower Resting Heart Rate

I want to believe that doctors do indeed update their database with the most cutting edge research and can’t wait to implement the truest, most up to date information to help their patients/clients…

But often times we get the “fruits and veggies, no red meat, and don’t lift too heavy” doctors that stopped reading shit as soon as they got their white coat… 20 years ago

Because I had some heart problem in the past, most recently myocarditis. He adviced me not to train until the next time I will see him. He is definitelly not one of those doctors that tell you not to lift. By that time, he adviced me to run and swim.

The reason might me the high heart rate during lifting that was shown by ECG holter, and feelings of heart racing when I went to bed.
