I tend to rotate when hitting max effort squats. I squat high bar and pretty narrow stance. Possible hip labral tear? i have a problem with my right hip, when i rotate my right leg outwards, i get this clicking/popping sound and it feels like the femur head is clicking back into place.
I doubt it’s the femur popping into place. More likely the tendon snapping over the bone as it rotates. Not a big deal if their isn’t pain associated with it.
As far as rotating, I have had similar issue and the best cure I found is to drop the weight and concentrate on staying squared up throughout the entire movement. Keep practicing with weight you can keep straight. Obviously you want to get into the routine of stretching as well.
