Roadwork Music

What you guys listen to when you run? Lately I’ve been listening to Ted Nugent “Stranglehold” on repeat, nice rythym. I assume MMA guys/girls do roadwork too?

Fast paced hip hop generally. Shit by Game, Jay, etc.

I’ve heard too much classic rock in my time to be able to work out to it anymore.

BT’s Never Back Down.
The Who’s Who Are You
Firestarter by whoever sings that.
Smack My Bitch Up by…Prodigy? I don’t know. Pretty standard stuff, I think.

Eye of the tiger brother, eye of the tiger.

Love is a battlefield

Here’s just a bunch of songs I’ve been listening to lately lol.
RZA - brooklyn babies
RZA - Fatal
Killarmy - the shootout
RZA - tragedy
Onyx - last dayz
onyx feat. dmx - shut em down
onyx - throw ya gunz up
onyx - walk in new york
tupac - hellrazor
nas - made you look
tegan and sara - back in your head

beck - cellphone’s dead
bonecrusher - i aint never scared
young joc - it’s goin down
korn - right now
busta rhymes - gimme some more
wu tang - C.R.E.A.M.

I HATE to run so I have to have something that sets a groove for me. I go anywhere from AC/DC to James Brown. Don’t really like anything too heavy cause that makes me angry and I’m already angry enough cause I gotta run! Ha! Ha!.

Hah, I hate running too. With a passion. Just goes to show how much I love boxing that I’m willing to make myself do something I hate on a daily basis.

Also, I’ve found that I like Dropkick Murphys when doing sprints.

Eddie Money…i dunno why. it just makes running suck less for me…

Damn what the fuck are you guys running to lol

When I’m running I like something that set’s a pace but doesn’t get me too amped up since i’m supposed to be pacing myself.

Sergio Mendes
Maroon 5
Andre3000
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Stevie Wonder
Santana
Smokey & the Miracles
Earth Wind & Fire
KC & the Sunshine band
Black Eye Peas

Also, fuck you guys but hollaback girl is in my rotation for some reason. I think it’s the drum cadence.

I do like running parkour style, but the music doesn’t change all that much. Just tends to be more hip hop, mostly old wu tang clan

When I used to do “real” road work,
I had to use an autoreverse casset player,
had a cool panasonic ran on aaa batteries.
Ok Im old.

I had to make mix tapes that went with each run
5 mile something like 25 or 27 minute
8 mile les than 45 minutes
10 one hour
13 one hour 20 tops

I picked allot of fast shit
ranging from disco to mettalica club junk.

I rean the marathon in 91, but the walkman was too heavy- it sucked.
