Sorry I’m just getting back to this. If you’re on a mobile device, you need to kinda click and drag to highlight the text you want quoted. Or you can just hit the 
Reply button and your reply will connect to that post without quoting it.
You can play around making test posts and replies in this thread if you don’t want to practice in current/ongoing discussions.
