Rippetoe Log: Powerlifting

Hi all, long time lurker occasional poster. I have been trying recently to get myself back into weights after a long long break (a couple years). Shoulder injuries and job stressors have set me back from training but I finally feel confident enough to get back in the gym. I plan on using Mark Rippetoes starting strength program. I have not purchased the book but I have been able to figure out most of what the routines are. Looking to gain size and strength (who isn’t?)

Starting tomorrow (Monday) with Bench Press workout
Squat: 3x5
Bench 3x5
Deadlift 1x5
Dips 2-3 sets
Abs
hyperextensions

Will let you know how diet and training go.

By the way, is Starting strength worth picking up?

My beginning numbers

Squat: 250
Bench: 200
Deadlift: 265
