I’ve been feeling noticeable presurre on my lower left rib when I do One arm DB clean and press and also when I do pull ups. I used to train strictly isolation movements with a push/pull/Legs split, but I’ve started about a few months ago incorporating some full body movements, just to change things up a bit when I’m getting bored and maybe to shock my muscles.
I started doing a 1 arm DB clean and press(60lb db) and I’ve noticed that after my first time doing it I had rib pain that night. I didn’t think much of it because I used to get that when I started back up with sprinting, but yesterday I did some more DB C&P and I felt pressure on my ribs, or discomfort. I quit doing them, and walked over to the pull up station(doing upperbody/lower body split) and started doing pull ups, and when I reached to grab the pull up bar, I felt discomfort/slight pain in my ribs.
This has gotten me paranoid! I broke some ribs two years ago and I’m wondering if that has anything to do with this. I also notice that my left rib seems to slightly bulge out further than my right rib.
Also, I have other signs of my right and left side of my body being a little out of balance in case that’s important. My left shoulder is higher than my right shoulder, my left lower-back muscles take over on dead lifts, and my left testicle is superior to my right testicle.
